The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has released a preliminary report on the tragic Air India Flight 171 crash. The findings confirm that both engine fuel switches were moved to the "Cutoff" position seconds after takeoff, triggering a total engine failure that led to the Boeing 787 crashing in Ahmedabad on June 12.


๐Ÿ“ป Cockpit Recordings Reveal Shock

Cockpit voice recordings reveal one pilot asking, “Why did you cut off?” while the other denied any manual action. This raises serious questions around pilot error, switch malfunction, or electrical issues.

Both the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) were recovered and analyzed. Investigators are now working with Boeing and GE to examine whether this was human error or technical failure.

Air India stated that it is fully cooperating with authorities and supports the investigation process. Boeing has also confirmed technical assistance to the AAIB-led panel.
